It is a beautiful house built in ashlar in the sixteenth century completely designed in colonial style. In this house, we can appreciate some oil paintings of the Cusquenian School and some sculptures of Granada School carved in the seventeenth century.

It is a traditional colonial house whose facade exhibits a fantastic carving of baroque style. In its interior part, we can find broad and distinctive courtyards.

It is said that these buildings existed since prehistoric times. They are a kind of large houses along the roads throughout the territory, built "to be used as a sort of houses to rest and to serve as reservoirs, created at the late Inca time to serve their efforts to dominate their conquered areas". You can visit the Tambos called Bronze and Slaughterhouse.

Opened in 1710, it presents one of the best selections of paintings, sculptures, jewelry, everyday objects and decorative art elements of the country. One of the rooms retains the original atmosphere of the eighteenth century with unique decorations that resemble a tapestry with profane scenes. On the other hand, the Choir Loft exhibits a kind of tapestry of paintings from different periods and trends.

The museum displays about 1000 objects (ceramics, textiles, mummies; stone, wood and metal objects) of the various cultural groups developed in Arequipa, since 12 000 BC to the colonial time.
