Tourist Attractions in Arequipa
The Cathedral The temple of the Cathedral, in its current design, has a neoclassical style. Its construction was completed in 1844 by architect Lucas Poblete. Valuable works of art, carvings, jewelry and religious art items along with a nineteenth century Belgian organ of considerable size are preserved in the Cathedral.

The company of Jesus Church and Complex It is the most beautiful and complete architectural complex of the city. The special decoration of the sacristy is an important aspect of the temple. In the decoration of the facade, we can appreciate some elements and figures showing clear indigenous origin which represent the foundation for us to state that this monument represents more accurately the mestizo identity of the local architecture.

Saint Francisco Church and Complex The complex includes the Franciscan church, the convent and a smaller temple known as the Third Order Church. Inside the Franciscan Church, we can appreciate the baroque style pulpit decorated with reliefs and the silver front part of the main altar.

Saint Dominique Church Architecturally, the most characteristic elements of this church are its bell tower, its atrium with and impressive corner pedestal and its beautiful arch under the choir. It is also known because of its side façade which is considered the oldest one in Arequipa.

Casa del Moral An old mansion built in the eighteenth century; it is one of the oldest architectural and important monuments of baroque style in Arequipa. The house is named after an ancient mulberry tree that grows in its main courtyard. The pediment of the facade built in ashlar is a work of art in which carefully carved figures can be appreciated.
